“Call On Me” by Eric Prydz was one of the first house songs I ever heard back when I was so young that I woud have probably been grounded by my parents for watching such a racy music video. The track itself is progressive and uplifting but would not have shared the same success if not for the video that accompanied it. It is amazing how drastic of an effect a music video can have on a song; influencing it making it seem either better or worse. Another example that comes to mind is the video for “Rad Anthem” by Rad Omen. The song itself is catchy but the awesome music video has made it a far more popular song that it ever could have been on its own.

There is absolutely no question as to why this song is labeled the “Energy Anthem of the year” after watching this video. Hardwell displays the passion he inputs in his performance as well as his productions. Cobra is without a doubt one of Hardwell’s best produced songs, including massive progressive chords, and hard basslines, all addiding up to an epic clash of sounds. Hardwell has been taking huge steps in the music industry lately by promoting up and comers such as Dyro and Michael Brun off his label Revealed Recordings, as well as premering the official release of ‘Cobra’ on MTV’s own clubland. That being said, the crazy tone of the video plays perfectly with the song’s intimidating drop. If you have a fear of clowns this video is not for you.
