Drake – Started From The Bottom (Spaveech Remix) [Free Download]

Within 24 hours of Drake’s “Started From The Bottom” being released, Wiz Khalifa decided to enhance the track and give it his own flare. Within the next week rappers including; Soulja Boi, Mike Posner, King Chip (formerly Chip tha Ripper), Asher Roth, Chuck Inglish, and Ace Hood, all made their mark on the instant classic. With the massive demand and how quickly this song is trending, it was only time before we saw some heady electronic remixes start to pop up and blossom. Yesterday we featured a dubbed out version created by Texas young gun, Feature Cuts. Today without further adieu, it is my absolute pleasure to present you one of my favorite up & coming producers take on the biggest hip hop song so far of 2013. Spaveech decided to drop the tempo of “Started From The Bottom” and add that booty bumping 110bpm backbeat that we’ve established as moombahton. This track truly showcases Spaveech’s versatility to create a banger in any genre and his many years of producing hip hop are easily noted in this remix as the flow and structure of this song are seemingly flawless. The combination of Drizzy’s catchy hooks and verses over Spaveech’s creativity is a recipe for brilliance. As always, Spaveech went the extra mile and synced this track in tune with a YouTube video, that even features perfectly imported snippets from the actual music video. With any Spaveech track, all we can say is expect the unexpected and let the music do all the talking. Grab the free download, check out the video, and most importantly, enjoy this amazing remix!

Passion Pit – Carried Away (Dillon Francis Remix)

Dillon Francis recently dropped his take on Passion Pit’s “Carried Away” during Pete Tong’s BBC Radio 1, and we can’t wait to get our hands on the full version. The remix truly reflects how much Dillon Francis has evolved as a musician in the last few years; it seems as the young producer can create euphoric melodies and poppy electro beats effortlessly now, and the great amount of polish leaves little to be desired. Diplo & Swick – Keep It Gully (Original Mix) [Preview]

Diplo is God and no one can argue with that. But who is Swick? The Melbourne native has less than 3000 likes on Facebook, but a collaboration with Diplo can only mean raw talent and the imminent rise to fame. And with good reason. The two have teamed up to create a jungle beat track called “Keep It Gully” which will be released to Mad Decent Premium members February 4th. The track features female vocals, a simple beat, and then a transition into bubbley, funky goodness. Patiently await for when the full song will be released, and more information on the mysterious Swick comes to light. We can only expect to hear more great things from the lad.

Wobble Wednesday: Nate Dogg – Shake That (Wick-It Remix)[Free Download]

Wick-It the Instigator not only has a unique name, but his production skills are about as individual as it gets and have distinct hip hop roots. Whether it’s producing a song for hip hop artists like Slug, Aesop Rock, Murs, and Yelawolf, combining the most ridiculous of mashups, remixing anything from Queen to Bubba Sparx, and producing originals in nearly every genre, Wick-it prefers to follow his own path and establish his own creative head turning style. Wick-It loves to bring songs back to life and give them a whole new purpose and definition  A prime example of this would be his latest remix of the late great Nate Dogg and his world-wide loved track, “Shake That”. Wick-It added a nice hint of moombahton flare to give this song a great back beat that practically forces you to shake that. Nate Dogg’s vocals really take over this track and Wick-It did a great job of morphing a perfect beat and melody to conform to the familiar “Shake That”. Grab the free download through the provided link below and keep an eye out for Wick-It the Instigator and his dance floor smashing style as he prepares to make some festival appearances this summer.

R.I.P to the legendary Nate Dogg!

Candyland – Bring The Rain EP

This Santa Barbara duo has been turning heads; Candyland not only won Beatport Play’s remix contest for Bingo Player’s “Rattle” in early 2012, but pulled yet another victory for the Skrillex and Damian Marley “Make It Bun Dem” remix contest merely months later. Spinnin’ Records noticed this duo’s remarkable ability to top the Beatport charts with their remixes, and gave them a chance at some original productions. Judging by the newly released Bring The Rain EP, it seems like Spinnin’ Records made a good choice; the EP is filled with some great tunes that bring a fierce low-end whether in the form of electro house, dubstep, or even glitch hop. There’ll be something to dig for all EDM fans in this diverse collection of tracks – whether it’s the fun, hard-hitting ”It’s A Shark” collaboration with Big Chocolate, or something more like “Get Wild”, which takes the listener from some pump-up electro house sounds to slow-paced blissed-out moombahton. Listen to some of our selected tracks below and grab the full EP from Beatport!
