Troy Beetles, better yet known as dubstep legend, Datsik invites you backstage to the world renown music festival Coachella. In this mini documentary, Datsik shares his personal festival experience, the details on the production of his set, and all the familiar faces he parties with along the way on his Indio adventure. Nero, Porter Robinson, Madeon, Flux Pavilion, & Kaskade get some cameos just to name a few. The documentary builds up from his arrival to the polo grounds, him unleashing the bass on the sahara tent, all the way to him getting down to Snoop & Dre as they close out the festival. This was a beautiful demonstration of an artist being a regular fan too, big ups to Datsik & editor Teaghan McGinnis.

No matter how our conflicting views of David Guetta may effect how we portray the man, there is no doubt that he has had a tremendous impact on Electronic Dance Music as a whole. Guetta has single handedly bridged the gap to mainstream and paved a way for other artists like himself who simply are trying to find the best way to have their music be heard. Though he already released his double album “Nothing But The Beat” back in August, his strictly Electronic tunes were specially released just yesterday. And if that wasn’t enough for you, Guetta’s similarly titled documentary is available to download for FREE on iTunes! It gives some very good perspective on key aspects and issues within the industry and is definitely worth checking out. Download it yourself here!

Colorado: Pretty Lights – Red Rocks Amphitheater 8/17 & 8/18

Former CU Boulder student, Derek Smith, better known as legendary electronic producer, Pretty Lights, will be performing on August 17th and 18th at Red Rock’s Amphitheater in Morrison, just outside Denver. Last year the show was a huge success and instantly sold out. So, Red Rocks has set up pre-sale tickets to be sold starting at 10am MST this Thursday (March 29) and public on-sale tickets to be sold starting at 10am MST this Saturday (March 31). Deadmau5 Meowingtons Hax 2K11 – Toronto

Joel Zimmerman, better known as Deadmau5, has just released his latest DVD from his last stop on the Meowingtons Hax tour in Toronto’s Rogers Centre where almost 20,000 people packed to the house to see his incredible production. Deadmau5 has been pushing the boundary of live visual performance since he unveiled “the cube”, and this DVD shows just that.   He is clearly showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

Onto Tiësto’s 5th episode of “In The Booth”! He travels into Mexico to play 8 different shows, and you better believe they were all sold out. In this episode, he encounters a few complications with the production set up and is not able to play with his fully loaded  production. While connecting with his fans on twitter about this issue though, they all let him know that all they wanted was to hear him play music and the production is only a small plus. What great fans!
