ShockOne – Universus (Album)

Destroying Beatport’s drum & bass, dubstep, and electro house charts this week, we have ShockOne’s viciously diverse new album dubbed, Universus, on Viper Recordings. Featuring his high tempo, signature sounds and a small remedy of bass heavy collaborations, we’re excited to see this Australian producer’s potential fully blossom with a sever influx of harmonic melodies and cosmic vocal samples. Collaborators within the album include Phetstsa, Reija Lee, Metrik, Kyza, and Sam Nafie. Firebeatz continues to light up Tiesto’s Musical Freedom imprint with yet another electro house smasher; this time alongside Bobby Burns. “Ding Dong” is a quality track from start to finish with a sturdy bassline and crunchy drop. The track isn’t taken to that next level until a massive grand piano chord break leads into another build and an even heavier drop. This funky groove will get your head bobbing back and forth as it would make an excellent addition to any set. Jewelz and Scott Sparks – Hot Rod / White Sun (Original Mixes)

After the smash hit “Toxic Rush” from the extraordinary pair Jewelz and Scott Sparks, we can only expect great productions from any collaboration the two work on. Here from Jewelz and Scott Sparks we have not one, but two amazing electro tracks, “Hot Rod” and “White Sun”. This perfect electro team have put their production skills to work yet again to create these killers songs, out today through Flamingo Recordings. The tracks have a similar feel to their sounds, however are extraordinarily different in content. “Hot Rod” is darker, incorporating a bass heavy back beat dominant in the intro. “White Sun” is funkier and more upbeat, with a melody present from the beginning of the track. I have a good feeling both of these tracks will be blowing up in the near future within many DJ’s festival sets. Robbie Rivera & Frederico Scavo – Jump (Original and Remixes)

Today is the release of Robbie Rivera and Frederico Scavo’s Original track ‘Jump’ and the Remix Package. This release includes remixes by MAKJ, My Digital Enemy and Mike Vale. Our favorite out of the bunch is definitely the Original version and the MAKJ Remix. MAKJ gives “Jump” an electro house makeover that is suitable for clubs and festivals. We saw him play this at Avalon in Hollywood and the crowd wen’t absolutely insane. Robbie Rivera once again knocks another release out of the park. Paul Oakenfold – Southern Sun (Moe Aly Remix)

“Southern Sun” has gotten the Moe Aly makeover, and it’s a winner, ladies and gentleman. The track features the angelic vocals from the original, and naturally it’s always hard to outdo the original, especially when it’s Oakenfold. But it seems that is exactly what Moe has done. Wobble Wednesday: Zeds Dead – Spring Mix [Free Download]

I couldn’t think of any better way to celebrate then with a filthy, grimy, and awesome hour mix by Zeds Dead as they showcase their ever improving talents behind the decks. These two guys have blown up in the past two years and I can’t possibly see the momentum they’ve been building slow down any time soon. They are fearless when it comes to their song selection as their transitions from dub-step to hip-hop to electro house to trap seems almost flawless while others will never venture outside of their comfort zone. These two are definitely making a name for themselves and if you haven’t had the pleasure of seeing them live yet be sure to catch them as they ride the festival circuit all summer long. Enjoy!

A collaboration between Chuckie and Dzeko & Torres has a massive amount of potential from the very start. The Dutch legend and up and coming duo both have distinguished themselves as prolific producers in their own right. “Down To This” is am electro house track keeps you moving with a scorching bassline fueled by a those familiar Dutch sirens. A simplistic key progression laces the track beautifully to only further contribute to the track’s overall euphoric feel. This track has everything you look for in a festival smasher, so expect to hear much more of it as we approach the summer. Enjoy!
