Daft Punk & Pharrell Williams – Get Lucky (Radio Edit)

daft-punk-get-lucky-612x612

“We’re up all night to the sun. We’re up all night to get some. We’re up all night for good fun. We’re up all night to get lucky.” If you haven’t read these words on any social media outlet, or haven’t heard them uttered from Pharrell’s majestic voice then you’re seriously missing out! Daft Punk’s first single off their new album Random Access Memories is the funky jam, “Get Lucky.” What can be better than Pharrell and Daft Punk forming a band and singing about sex? Nothing, is the correct answer. The French duo recently said that EDM wasn’t changing, wasn’t moving, and wasn’t making any progress, so why not add some real instruments? The feedback has been extremely better than Avicii’s take on adding live instruments to an electronic genre. Daft Punk’s natural ability to create music that everyone wants to listen to will forever be their signature. Check out the release below, press repeat, and patiently wait for the rest of the album. Cheers!

Wobble Wednesday: Jay-Z – Can I Get A… (Big Gigantic Remix)

big g

Big Gigantic resurrects Jay-Z’s 1998 single, “Can I Get A…” with their own funk sound bringing an old rap anthem together with massive wobbles and that signature saxophone sound. The funk inspired rendition of the insanely famous hip-hop track adds a breath of fresh air to the original song making it sound brand new once again. Big G is a phenomenal duo of musicians as they continue to break down the barriers between electronic music with their live performances, their vintage sound, and their ability to mix and mash any genre of music they please making it completely their own. And not only are Dominic Lalli and Jeremy Salken extremely talented at what they do, but they are also incredibly generous as they have released this gem for free. Don’t snooze on this one and download your own copy of, “Can I Get A… (Big Gigantic Remix)” today!

After gaining a lot of attention as a mashup producer, CHANGE has shifted his focus to creating original tunes and in a short amount of time has developed a vivacious style that blends elements from a variety of genres. ‘Serenity’ is the perfect testimony to his style with angelic, trancey breaks leading into disco infused, glitchy electro riffs and euphoric arpeggios. CHANGE is definitely someone you want to keep your eye on this year.

Wobble Wednesday: Gramatik – Bluestep (Original Mix & Video) [Free Download]

With the announcement of his next album, “The Age of Reason”, Gramatik decided to give us the first preview of what 2013 has in store by previewing his track “Bluestep” in the form of a 2012 recap video. This video includes footage from Gramatik’s 2012 live performances where he blessed the USA, Canada, Russia, Austria, and Belgium with his one of a kind live performance. I love how this video is put together and gives a little insight into Gramatik’s sarcastic personality as well as the various settings and reactions of his performances spanning the globe. The featured track, “Bluestep”, is cutting edge and neatly combines the vibes of 50?s and 60?s Blues with a wide-range of EDM distortion. The guitar samples that blossom throughout are so perfectly synced with the groovey bass that Gramatik stirred up, I really can’t get enough of it. Definitely make sure to watch the video and click the free download for a direct download!

Gregori Klosman – Serial Killer (Original Mix) [Preview]

Here is a preview of the latest production from French house genius Gregori Klosman. “Serial Killer” is so amazing it’s scary. The track is scheduled for official release February 25th, and will be the first release on Klosman’s newly founded label Guru Recordings. “Serial Killer” begins with a sample from the infamous theme song from the movie Halloween. Klosman throws in a fast paced beat beneath those oh so recognizable piano chords, and morphs the chilling melody into a house build. “One, two, three, JUMP!” will catch you off guard as the track drops into a super gnarly electro break. Klosman flawlessly transforms the entire track into an unexpected banger that I predict to be included in many major sets of 2013. Stream this spooky gem below and be sure to catch its release next month.
