Wobble Wednesday: Bro Safari & UFO! – Animal LP [Free Download]

bro-safari-ufo-animal-cover

Alas, it is finally here, I’ve been waiting to get my hands on this for way too long! Bro Safari & UFO! have been hyping up an album for over a year that has never hit the market, but I can rightfully say that the wait was worth it. This 10 track LP titled, “Animal” has something for all lovers of bass. Whether you like moombahton, glitch-hop, trap, dubstep, downtempo, uptempo, drum & bass etc. there is something for you! It’s quite impressive the genres that they spanned and how stunning each individual track turned out. I’ll keep the review short and let Bro Safari & UFO! do the talking:

Here it is. The album that we’ve been talking about for over a year. Scheduling conflicts be damned, we made it happen! Yes, the process was long, and at times it was even a little grueling, but we stuck to our guns and we couldn’t be happier with the results.

Originally, we created about 16 tracks for the album, and then we narrowed it down to the songs that you have in front of you today. It was important to us that we create a collection of music that crossed multiple styles and genres, yet told a coherent story. It’s not an easy thing to do, but we feel like we pulled it off by using themes, samples, techniques and by consciously assessing what did and did not work together.

We feel like there is something for everyone on this record and we’re very pleased with the fact that we can offer this to everyone for free. All we ask is that you listen to it with an open mind, share it with your friends and come say hello whenever we play a show in your city.

So, once again – Thank you to each and every person that showed us support over the last few years. We love working together, and have already discussed plans for a follow up album.

For now, enjoy ANIMAL!

Wobble Wednesday: Flinch feat. Ellie Goulding – You Don’t Know (Original Mix)

artworks-000048276989-6higz0-t500x500

Back in 2012, LA based producer, Flinch, teamed up with the angelic soul and vocals of Ellie Goulding to create the lovestep infused masterpiece titled, “You Don’t Know”. Fast forward one calendar year and we finally have the studio version posted on Flinch’s Soundcloud, and the wait was ever so worth it. With Flinch’s distinctly crafted basslines crossing path’s with Ellie’s ravishingly smooth vocals, “You Don’t Know” hits the spot in so many ways for me. I would highly suggest letting this blissful melody and Ellie’s unmatched vocals succumb your speakers for the entire 4:13 life span of this gem. We will keep you posted on the official release for this track, for now, click play and thank me later, enjoy!

Wobble Wednesday: Zeds Dead – Jambalaya Mix [Free Download]

jambalaya

This Memorial Day Weekend is going to be absolutely insane with all of the amazing concerts and festivals going on and Texas shall be no exception to the trend. Scoremore Presents is putting on Jambalaya: a three day tour through all of Texas’ major cities featuring performances by Zeds Dead, Earl Wolf aka Tyler The Creator and Earl Sweatshirt, Big Boi, Araabmuzik, RL Grime, and G Eazy. Needless to say Jambalaya is going to pop off and this Jambalaya Mix that Zeds Dead made to build up hype for it is the only proof you need. These guys are nuts behind the decks as they manage to incorporate each and every artist set to play Jambalaya within their short mix as well as an amalgamation of the trillest trap, the dubbiest dub, and the sickest of rap songs. Whether you’ll be attending Jambalaya or not, this mix should definitely be on your playlist as you prepare yourself for this weekend’s Memorial Day festivities.

Wobble Wednesday: Cookie Monsta ft. Flux Pavilion – Come Find Me (Original Mix)

artworks-000046857458-x0u0l7-t500x500

Well, I think it’s safe to say this could be the best dubstep track to surface in quite a long time. Whenever you see a release from the notorious Circus Records, you should immediately prepare for an absolute smashing tune packed with emotion, heavy bass modulation, and that classic UK sound. This track emulates that to a tee and Cookie Monsta & Flux Pavilion have come together to deliver just that and so much more. The vocal sample of “Come Find Me” is integrated into a track that is lead by a whisping melody, an intricate drum pattern and a drop that will have you begging for more. It’s so distinct to hear where Flux & Cookie each took the lead and added their own special spice to turn this tune into a full proof banger. Have a listen for yourself and get ready because the Circus Two album is set to drop May 13th, with this track and 24 other quality compositions from the UK based Circus Records.

Skrillex Interview with Jeff Rosenthal at IMS

The first International Music Summit: Engage occurred almost a month ago on April 17th in Hollywood, California. Jeff Rosenthal interviewed Skrillex during the event and shed light on the producer’s musical history, music rights, previous musical engagements, and everything in between. In a surprisingly intelligent and informative interview, Skrillex gives insight into many factors within his progression into electronic music. The interview is lengthy, but is a really great conversation between Jeff and Sonny and their careers in music production.

Willy Joy – Love Me Right (Original Mix) [Free Download]

artworks-000046924751-ai5ml0-t500x500

Willy Joy has made quite the name for himself in 2013. With his continued series, Free Willy Wednesdays, where he releases a new track for free every Wednesday, Willy’s gained quite the following and created a new hype for Wobble Wednesdays. His productions span the many subgenres of bass music and he has found himself as an official member of the TWONK Team (Willy Joy, Craze, Brillz, Etc! Etc!). His latest release is titled, “Love Me Right” and it is by far my favorite production of his. Containing a vibrant vocal sample that is matched with a superior drum pattern, catchy melody and a drop perfectly fitting for the track, Willy has constructed quite the gem. These drops hit so clean and the second drop which contains a few extra elements is truly on point. Make sure to grab this download and watch out for the continued Free Willy Wednesday releases. Can’t wait to see the remixes to this track that ensue. Crank up that sub & enjoy!
