Flashback Friday: Benny Bennassi & The Biz – Satisfaction (Radio Edit)

As I’ve said before, Flashback Friday is all about the game changers. On February 23 of 2003, Benny Benassi & The Biz gave us just that with their hit single, “Satisfaction”. Since its release, the track has been remixed, bootlegged, mashed up, sampled, you name it; the song is an anthem. Just months ago, I had the pleasure of seeing Benny at the craziest school on the planet, The University of Arizona, and let me tell you – he has still got it. He concluded his set with Satisfaction (J. Rabbit Bootleg), which completely threw the crowd off guard (in the best way possible), so I thought I’d include it below as well.

Bassnectar – Ugly ft. Amp Live (Official Music Video)

Wobble Wednesday: Kill Paris – Keep Your Secrets in Midnight City [Free Download]

Los Angeles based up and comer Kill Paris produced quite the gem here, mashing up the massive hits “Keep You Secrets (Myon & Shane 54 Summer of Love Remix)” and M83′s “Midnight City”. I love how he kept the midnight city part very mellow and kept the trancy feel of “Keep You Secrets” on the breakdowns, while making an epic of drop of some fresh dubstep. Wobble Wednesday: Bare & Datsik – King Kong (Bare VIP)

Dubstep legends Datsik and Bare have had their recent critically acclaimed collaboration, “King Kong” hailed as one of their top tracks to date. In Bare’s VIP Remix, he opening begins with an ominous atmospheric pad that gradually leads into the vocal sample, somewhat similar to the original. In this piece however, Bare almost attempts to “Brostep” it up another notch, adding screams and intensifying the stabs. This is one heavy track you don’t want to miss, up now on Wobble Wednesday.

Wobble Wednesday: Cold Blank – Louder Than Bombs (Original Mix)

One of the most renowned DJ/Producer duos has consistently been Cold Blank, primarily known for their work within Electro House. But this time, they are coming out big with a Dubstep banger that showcases their talent in working within multiple genres. “Louder Than Bombs” opens with a Eastern influenced melody containing reverbed vocal chops before dropping into the heavily intensified main section. Looks like even with Cold Blank jumping on the Dubstep train, we got us another game changer.

Wobble Wednesday: Knife Party – Centipede (Original Mix) [Preview]

A preview one of Knife Party’s newest releases starts off with a ominous, documentary vocal sample that explains how “even tarantulas aren’t immune to an ambush,” almost paying homage to one of their earlier works in Pendulum. The drop is immense as imaginable, sweeping the entire frequency spectrum with stabs, bitcrushed vibratos, and synths that are almost too intense to post. Knife Party’s fast rise throughout the EDM community has been littered with banger after banger as they are soon to play EDC 2012 in Vegas.
