What really makes Tiesto such a spectacular artist is his ability to reinvent himself over and over again to not only fit the times, but to define them. His newest single off of his highly anticipated Tiesto’s Club Life Vol. 3: Stockholm, “Take Me,” features Kyler England from the indie rock band The Rescues. This track has that signature Tiesto big room sound which is epic beyond proportion when coupled with Ms. England’s amazing vocals. To state the track is catchy is an understatement, yet it is not cheesy by any means as Tiesto keeps us on our toes with his fantastic synthesized melodies, massively bass driven beats, and a plethora of new electronica sounds which give the single the distinction it deserves. The Legend DJ Sneak joins international DJ Riva Starr to provide the vocals for this groovy house track that takes you back to a time when disco ruled the dance floors. This is a funky anthem with tribal beats and full of house loops and samples. “In Da House Tonight” is an homage to the Gold Age of house music with DJ Sneak himself talking about house music and sweaty listeners packing the nightclubs and warehouses. Toolroom head honcho, Mark Knight, coined this one of the biggest tracks of 2013 and rightfully so. He is just among many huge names that have praised this beautiful production. David Guetta can be re-crowned from the number one DJ in the world to the number one producer of pop EDM. However, there are many clever producers who have taken the works of Guetta and transformed them into more underground EDM pots of gold. Here we have “Play Hard” in the R3hab remix, which is a great example of this reproduction of pop into something harder and more appealing to the die hard electronic fans. R3hab has taken the original track and remixed it into a harder, more electro house song. “Play Hard” features a signature cut from the infamous track “Do You Think You’re Better Off Alone” by Alice DJ. The magical R3hab has taken it to a whole new level of house music. The track features some housier and more aggressive sythns. Well fans, the first weekend of Ultra Music Festival in Miami has come to a close and wow was it an amazing one. I sure hope some of you were either there for the amazing experience or streaming in from your computer via Ultra’s YouTube channel UMFTV. With some of the world’s biggest DJs playing sets throughout the day at different times and stages, it was hard to catch everyone you wanted to see as most festivals go. The wonderful thing about our post here is we have a chance for you to relive the experience through you ears, with some of our favorites from the first weekend. We apologize that some of these aren’t the full sets, but we will update them throughout the week once we get our hands on any full recordings as they arise. One of my personal favorite up and comers, Stereotronique, has teamed up with Northend to bring this massive, big room banger. “‘Reverence’ combines the signature synth cord progressions of Northend with the raw grit of Stereotronique’s electro bass line formula.” The track also features the subtle yet powerful vocals of Stereotronique’s own Kevin O’Brien. Stereotronique has been known to put out some massive tunes, and has been largely underrated. The original duo, which consisted of Zack Lister and Kevin O’Brien, has since split, leaving Kevin to handle to front end and production while Zack remains active as the general manager. Be on the lookout for this track in a lot of big sets this year.

Here at Techibeats we have our money on Paris Blohm to start catching a lot of attention this year. The young LA native has a very keen ear for making very big stadium anthems and after releasing several massive remixes today we have his first original release titled ‘Presence’ feat. Angel Taylor on vocals. Not only is this track an incredibly well produced anthemic bomb, but it has a very moving inspiration behind it.

“My sister, Chloe Blohm, passed away in 2011. She inspired hundreds of people with her art, and her uplifting and loving personality even while facing her crippling disease, muscular distrophy. This song is dedicated to her because her ‘Presence’ is still here, pushing me and the ones who had the pleasure of knowing her. She did more than most able-bodied people ever even thought of doing. It is not often that I am as excited about an upcoming producer as I am about Paris, but he is an incredibly talented young producer and with every new track he is clearly pushing himself to release bigger and better material. I can’t wait to hear what’s next for Paris Blohm.
