Grammy award nominated Calvin Harris’ latest single off of his album 18 Months is getting the remix treatment from an assortment of internationally acclaimed artists. These remixes all have a unique feel separating them as individual compositions with key departures from the original track. Diplo and Grandtheft team up for a trap style remix, while Tiesto creates his signature big room feel. This remix package came out today and is sure to blow up the charts. Don’t sleep on these!

“Like These Eyes” is a progressive house banger set to hit beatport on May 21st.  It’s a collaboration between Answer42 and Juventa.  Juventa’s edit of the track has more of a trance feel to it as opposed to Answer42′s which is a little housier.  If Juventa isn’t already on your radar, make sure he gets there soon as he is being touted as the next big artist in the genre by Armin Van Buuren himself. Sunday Soother: Tracks to Slow Your Roll

Electric Daisy Carnival Update: EDMbiz

Insomniac is once again innovating in the United States. Earlier this week they announced that they will be holding a conference called EDMbiz that will serve as a “forum for business development in the community.” Conferences of this sort have been taking place internationally for years, but with EDM currently exploding across the US and getting recognition on pop charts this is the time to focus and direct action in a positive manner. The quality of Insomniac’s panelists and keynote speakers is astounding including world-renowned electronic artists as well as top executives from AM Only, Atlantic Records, Atom Factory/Atom Empire, Burning Man, Insomniac, Marquee Nightclub & Dayclub, Pacha, Strategic Group, TAO, Turntable.fm, and Twitter among many others. Did I mention EDMbiz will be taking place the week prior to Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas?  If you want access to these panels, lectures, and all of the after parties, registration begins on May 3rd, at 10:00am here.

Eric Prydz Presents Pryda – AGAG

Eric Prydz Presents Prdya is a 3 disc compilation that dropped today highlighting his works with his label Pryda. Disc 1 will be made up of new unreleased Pryda productions which some fans may have heard as works in progress (including Shadows, Agag, Mighty Love and Allein).  Discs 2 and 3 bring together many of the classic tracks from the Pryda catalogue, sequenced and mixed by Eric himself, and including some of his special re-edits. Pryda has become a genre-defining staple and is one of the most successful and influential dance labels in the world.  This compilation album rounds up an incredible chapter in Eric’s career so far, laying the foundations for the next exciting phase.
