Feed Me – Death By Robot EP

The U.K. based Dubstep/Electro House sensation, Feed Me, has returned with yet another EP featuring his latest single, “Death by Robot,” as well as two B-Sides entitled, “Gravel” and “Dialup Days.” As a producer, Feed Me continues to expand on upon his unique bass driven sound while exploring other realms of music with newer and more experimental sounds in his B-sides. His single, “Death by Robot” begins with an absolutely gorgeous piano intro that gravitates toward Feed Me’s signature electro bass sound. Enhanced by a robotic almost Daph Punk like voice, “Death by Robot” is a raging symphony as beautiful melodies are intertwined between dirty dub-inspired beats. As you listen to his next track, “Gravel,” you’ll notice the difference in Feed Me’s sound as low-octave synthesizers play around a light kick drum in an almost Wolfgang Gartner fashion. Then, after the bass disappears for a bit, it comes back stronger than ever as a nasty, electro beat takes over the rest of the song. Finally, Feed Me takes us back with “Dialup Days” as samples of late 90′s computers make up the intro melody to this song. A groovy bass line gets laid under the quirky sounds of the melody and suddenly the song makes sense. Each song off of Feed Me’s Death by Robot is incredibly unique as the EP as a whole shows the development of Feed Me as an innovative artist. On December 20th, Feed Me tweeted ”One more single and two B sides, then it’s album and tour time,” which means only one thing: Get ready for even more new music a raging tour in the coming months, Techifans!
