Techibeats Best of 2012

I think it is safe to say that 2012 was a huge year, both for the dance music industry and for ourselves here at Techibeats. There has been countless tracks and albums released this year that have not only blown club and festival roofs off, but also pushed the boundaries of production in an innovative way. We’ve also seen lots happen in the news world of EDM, including some quite entertaining attempts of Paris Hilton DJ’ing and messing with Afrojack for some time, as well as rumors of Daft Punk returning to the stage. Despite everything that has happened in 2012, we feel very privileged to be a part of this wonderful community and all that it has offered us. Thanks to all our fans out there that have supported us and we look forward to an even bigger year in 2013. With that said, we are very happy to present our Best of 2012 article, where we’ve outlined the Top 20 Artists of the year, Top 5 Releases, Top 5 Festivals, and the Top 5 Tracks from just about every EDM genre. Once you all check out this full list, you’ll see that it is quite epic and is a great outline of the best things to hit the dance music industry this year. Please enjoy everything after the bump and have a Happy New Year!   [Read more...]

Dada Life – So Young So High (Official Music Video)

When it comes to Dada Life, you can’t ever quite predict what they’re going to do next. So, of course, in their newest music video for “So Young So High” they take a song aimed towards young people of whom are high on life and apply it to senior citizens. To see old people partying so hard was entertaining to say the least and I probably would never have seen such a thing if it wasn’t for the insanely fun duo that is Dada Life. Enjoy the video and as the old timers in the music video showed us, “Don’t ever let them bring you down.” Have fun, be safe, and have an amazing New Years Eve from all of us here at Techibeats everyone!

Mat Zo – DnB Mix of Love

Amped on his chart topping, recent collaboration with Porter Robison titled, ‘Easy’, it’s fair to say that British prodigy, Mat Zo, is “on one”. Just this weekend he has given us a reminder as to why he is one of the most diverse in the game with this two hour mix of drum and bass mayhem, which he calls his ‘DnB Mix of Love’. Straying from his progressive house and trance roots, it’s always a great surprise to have some d&b thrown into the equation. N-Joy.
