Ferry Corsten Follow-Up Interview

Since our last interview with Ferry Corsten, we were able to catch up with again in Ibiza! Click after the jump to see what he’s been up to!

Techibeats spoke with you not long ago how have things been going since we last spoke?

I’ve been really busy these days. Travelling a lot, and of course many preparations for the Full on Ferry events this summer. When I’m in The Netherlands you can usually find me in my studio. I’ve been producing a lot lately, and you’ll hear some of this soon!

You were just over here in Ibiza playing your first show for Full on Ferry this season at Eden, Can you tell us how it felt to be back and how the night went for you?

When I go to Ibiza, I always know I can expect another great gig again. I’ve played in Eden many times before, and the place really rocks. As I entered the venue and got upstage, the cheering of the crowd gave me goosebumps immediately! It was once again a wonderful experience.

Can you tell us a bit about Full On Ferry this year, It has changed locations this year in Ibiza, any other big surprises in store?

Full on Ferry Ibiza is going to be awesome, but there are more editions all over the world! On the 6th of July I’ll be playing in Jakarta, Indonesia, at the X2 club. There’s also a Full on Ferry in Beirut, Lebanon, at La Suite Oceana. So there’s a lot to look forward to!

You just recently announced a new radio show Ferry’s Fix. Can you tell our audience a bit more about it and how it will be different than your current show Corsten’s Countdown?

It’s a new concept. I’ll be doing a monthly 1-hour mix, with brand-new tracks only and less talking and guests compared to Corsten’s Countdown. It will give the listeners a real club vibe, and it kind of warms them up for going out. Ferry’s Fix is new and different, so you really might want to check it out!

Currently the show can be listed to on: AddictedToRadio.com (U.S.); Alpha Radio (Bulgaria); Antenna 5 Radio (Macedonia); C-Dance Radio (Belgium); Dance Paradise (Brazil); DI.FM (Digitally Imported Radio, worldwide); Gercek Radio (Turkey); HI FM (Oman); Mas Music (Mexico); Ministry Of Sound Radio (UK); Pure.FM (U.S.); Radio Go Deejay (Slovakia); Radio Joe (Puerto Rico); Radio Sound (Italy); Radio Tortokszentmiklos “Club Mania” (Hungary); Traffic FM (Greece); Warm FM (Belgium), and many others.

Lets talk about Ibiza for a bit since the American audience isn’t very familiar. What is it that you love about Ibiza and why should someone make the long journey here from America?

It simply is one of the ultimate party places on earth! Next to the fact that there are some amazing clubs out there, Ibiza also has that smooth summer vibe and can even be really romantic. The atmosphere is always great. The weather is nice. Last but not least, the girls are really hot.

What’s your best memory in Ibiza?

There are many memories I have from Ibiza. I can’t just pick one ‘best’ memory, it’s too hard really!

Is there any song that is somehow your “Ibiza Song” whether its one your tracks or not?

Planet Funk: Chasing the Sun
