Wobble Wednesday: Savant – Burgertime (Savant Theme) (Original Mix)

Savant’s latest release on Beatport has been topping the charts and to no one’s surprise because the album features a wide variety of all types of EDM including Dubstep, Drum N’ Bass, Electro House, Glitch Hop, and Moombahcore. “Savant’s Theme”, as the track suggests, contains a bouncy, hard-hitting, Glitch Hop bass riff coupled with various vocal chops, all of which make allusions to the “exceptional mental abilities” of being a “savant.” The opening contains a sample from a recent South Park episode, entitled “Ass Burgers,” creating a duality with the ending vocal samples that are more serious in subject matter. The glitch element of the track is largely portrayed in the verses that contain short, glitch samples and volume cuts that help to create a spacious depth that allow the rest of the instruments to cut through the mix.
