Dirty South – Walking Alone (Stereotronique Remix)

Stereotronique has once again created another huge remix of a classic track and it hasn’t even been two weeks since their remix of “Teenage Crime” was released. The remix features an awesome vocal breakdown that leads into a massive drop with a grimy complextro chorus. At 3:16, the tempo dramatically shifts into a dubstep bridge before going right back into the original chorus. Overall this is a well made remix and we can expect to see a lot of good things from the Canadian natives in the near future. Make sure to pick up a copy of the track for FREE at the artist’s Soundcloud. Turn your speakers up and enjoy!

Nero – Must Be the Feeling (Delta Heavy Remix) [Radio 1 Preview]

There is a rare breed of songs that provoke certain emotions and desires to the extent that you cannot hold it in; this, my friends, is one of those tracks. Delta Heavy’s Remix of the Nero classic “Must Be the Feeling” breaks barriers amongst dubstep, moombahton, and electro to send your mind racing in a fury. The song starts with a mellow slow paced bpm that deceptively masks the imminent drop. The moment that drop hits there is nothing stopping it from taking control of any crowd. This preview features the majority of the song played on Annie Mac’s Radio 1 show but be sure to check back for the official release.

Flashback Friday: Skream – Midnight Request Line (Original Mix)

One of the tracks that started the Dubstep revolution, “Midnight Request Line”, released in 2005 has made an unprecedented impact on the electronic music scene. Oliver Jones, otherwise known as the legendary DJ/producer Skream, was one of the pioneers of UK Bass sound that derived elements from Industrial and Garage that ultimately became what we refer to as Dubstep. “Midnight Request Line” makes use of sub-bass instruments mainly focusing on processed sounds below 400-500 Hz, reflecting the beginning and evolution of Skream’s sound throughout his career. Since the mid 2000′s, Skream has been an undeniable driving force in the Dubstep movement, influencing almost every big name producer and doing countless collaborations with numerous artists. His remix of La Roux’s “In For The Kill” in 2010 garnered him innumerable followers and since then has teamed up with fellow pioneer Benga, doing live shows and starting Magnetic Man with Benga and Artwork to focus on creating a new type of sound.

Lunde Bros – If You Wanna

The Lunde Bros have found a niche in their EDM community by adhering to the sounds that excel most in live performances. This electro banger that so simply asks “If You Wanna” features some intricate patterns laced with Dutch-sounding high synths throughout the track. This is just one of the tracks featured on John Dahlback’s Mutants Imprint label so far this year but it’s already earning much appraisal. “If You Wanna” would make a great addition to any set with it’s versatile beat that continuously flows back and fourth between a mellow break and heavy drop.

Tom Moroca – Hello (KNY Factory Remix)

The KNY Factory Remix of Tom Moroca hits home with some gritty and dark electro sounds. The drums break into half time, giving the track a lower bpm than Dubstep, which is a technique that has been utilized by successful artists such as Zedd, Skrillex, and Kill The Noise in their Electro House productions. This remix expands on concepts that are introduced in the original, providing a much more structured melodic sequence and a wider palette of sounds.
