Techibeats Guide To New Years Eve: Vegas, San Francisco, LA, San Diego

The Techibeats team takes New Years Eve more serious than their families Christmas. New Years Eve is hands down the biggest night for dance music in the United States aside from the Electric Daisy Carnival and Ultra Music Festival. That being said, there are so many options and an unlimited amount of things to do so we have decided to give all our viewers at home a list of the top events happening on the West Coast.

First things first, if your 21 chances are your heading to Vegas and have been planning the trip out for about a month now.  So here’s two events you may want to definitely check out…

Kaskade is always a safe bet for a great time. He is arguably the best American DJ; add him to the insane club Marquee and you’ve got yourself an epic NYE. Kaskade comes on at 11:59pm so make sure you’re there at least an hour before. I’m assuming the line will be extremely long so get there early unless your a hooker – then they’ll let you cut the line. get your tickets here.

If you’re not satisfied with the Kaskade option then head over to XS for a night with the Swedish House Mafia’s very own house music legend – Steve Angello. He’s guarantees to be an amazing way to bring in the new year. Who doesn’t want to hear his massive hit “Show Me Love” when the clock strikes midnight? The down side is that it costs $225 for men compared to $75 for women. An obvious upside for guys is that there will certainly be far more women at the club. Get your tickets here.

Club XS has some other huge acts in store for the weekend including Sebastian Ingrosso on the 30th and a special “Jacked” event on new years day featuring Afrojack, R3hab, Bobby Burns, and Apster. Attendance to either would surely only make your already epic new years weekend that much better.

Now if your in the San Francisco bay area you have a couple great options as well…

This is the best lineup your going to get for bay area based dance music festival for New Years Eve. Cosmic Gate alone is one of trances most well respected artists; combined with with heavy hitters the likes of Diplo and Sidney Samson. The lineup alone ensures that this would be a great option for the night. My only concern is that it’s the first year this event is taking place; so they may have some issues. Quick Tip: If you don’t enjoy “massives” then this isn’t for you. Get your tickets here.

Now if you didn’t like the first event we present to you a much more unique option. World renowned Z Trip and DJ Craze will be spinning the decks all night for one of SF’s most well known production companies “Eye Heart SF”. Last year this company put on an amazing show with Steve Aoki and I’ve been told first hand that they’re putting a lot more work into the production. Check out their trailer for this event and get your tickets here. But Hurry! This event will sell out.

Now if you move much more down south in California to the LA/Orange County area you have two great events demanding your attention.

Now, Together As One is probably the most well known New Years Eve dance music event in the U.S. I’ve personally attended three years in a row and it’s never disappointed me. Although im not attending this year. I know many people are. Insomniac is no longer affiliated with this event and last time Go Ventures tried putting on an event at this location (Monster Massive) they got shut down. This may pose a problem for the fluidity of the event that Insomniac always ensures. Buy your tickets here

With Insomniac branching off of Go Ventures after the disaster that was Monster Massive, they have put quite a nice lineup together; not to mention they practically did this over night. Unfortunately for younger people, the event is 21+; so if your in the same area you may have to look towards Together As One as your best option. This is the first time they’re putting on this event but Insomniac has never ceased to amaze me and this is definitely would be a great choice. Get your tickets here.

Last but not least is San Diego. We’re only posting one option for the city because it is hands down the best option.

The lineup features some of the biggest up and comers in the game accompanied by the legendary Fedde Le Grand. The San Diego Sports Arena will have only one stage preventing any conflicting set times and everybody will have the privilege of seeing every single DJ.  San Diego allows the event to go later than any other one in LA so we will be raging from 8 until 4 in the morning.  I know I’m attending this event along with half of the Techibeats team. Tiesto and Porter Robinson recently played in the same venue and it’s going to be quite the experience. Tickets are set at $75 right now so get them while you still can! Click here for tickets.
