Joker feat. Silas – Slaughter House (Tiësto Remix)

Has any DJ stood the test of time nearly as well as Tiësto has? This guy has transcended through multiple genres in the last decade and has been able to combine them all to create a sound that is entirely his own. You can call it “Trouse” if you want, but I’ll stick with calling it epic.  The first two minutes of the song combines trancy synths, catchy vocals, and a traditional house beat that defines Tiësto’s unmistakably unique style. A powerful build follows and leads to a drop that only Tiësto is capable of creating. It’s catchy, fast paced, and makes you want to dance! What more do you need?

Patric La Funk – Time and Time Again (Laidback Luke Edit)

I got to see Laidback Luke for the fourth time this year at “Love After Party” on Saturday in San Francisco. Every time I see this guy he somehow manages to find a new way to surprise and impress me. His sets include hip hop, dubstep, and just about everything in between. “Time and Time Again” isn’t your traditional Laidback Luke banger, but progressive synths and beautiful vocals take this track to the next level. N-Joy

Tom Novy, Danny Freakazoid & Strobe – Can You Dig It

This track was just released yesterday on Spinnin’ Records and this song is not only greatly produced, but it has the coolest sample I’ve heard in a long time. It comes from the cult classic movie “The Warriors.” At 2:30 the sample comes in and it breaks down and  you will  ”dig it.” Danny Freakazoid had a massive song released a while ago called “Raise Your Hands Up”, be sure to check it out as well.

Marcel Woods – Inside Me (Bassjackers Remix)

Marlon Flohr and Ralph van Hilst, better known as the Bassjackers, are back with yet another big remix as they continue to solidify themselves as premier DJ’s in the electro world.  The song includes mesmerizing vocals that producers only the likes of Marcel Woods are capable of integrating into a heavy bassline. The Bassjackers incorporate their own heavy synth breakdown into the song followed a quick and choppy build. What follows can only be described as pure mayhem. I don’t know what it is about these guys, but their drops always seem to get me going.  I can only attribute that to their ability to incorporate their progressive synths with their otherwise strictly electro style. Be sure to not pass on this track.. it’s sure to be a big one.

Hardwell & Nicky Romero – Beta (Original Mix)

Hardwell and Nicky Romero… need I say more? These two have made it very clear to the EDM world that the next generation of great producers/DJ’s will be led by them. To prove this they’ve decided to create an absolute banger that will force any crowd go insane. I saw Hardwell two weeks ago at Ruby Skye in San Francisco, and when he dropped this track everyone went nuta. This track has Hardwell written all over it with his signature “Trousy” (trance and house) sound that has been drawing the attention of music lovers everywhere. Be sure to download this one and you’re welcome!

Michael Woods & Funkagenda – Alchemy (Original Mix)

This might be the most unique sounding song I’ve heard in a while. It has a repetitive progressive build that continues throughout most of the track. When 3:30 hits, it cuts out and breaks down amazingly with a trancy synth that leads into a very unique, big room sound that these guys have been known to produce.

Miami Horror – Sometimes (Hook & Sling Remix)

This track is upbeat, has cool vocals, and it’s everything you need to get your Monday started the right way. This song carries an old school sound while maintaining a new school beat. At 2:15 a light dirty dutch sound begins to build and it ties into the uplifting, catchy vocals. Who knew that a Monday could have so much good to offer? Enjoy and have a good week!

Emeli Sande – Heaven (Ryeland Re-Edit)

Here we are given a well-produced re-edit to the already rocking song ‘Heaven’ by Emeli Sande.  Ryeland takes the track up a notch by incorporating absolutely filthy dubstep drops into the traditional 128bpm of the track.  This fact alone gives DJ’s the ability to easily incorporate dubstep into their otherwise strictly electro set.  Tiesto, arguably the greatest DJ in the game today, has proven just that by continuously dropping this track in his recent sets. It takes a while for the track to pick up and the dirty drops come in at the 2:46 mark; so fast foreword the song if you don’t want to wait around for it.

This track draws similarities from an older track that I am familiar with: Spencer & Hill - Dub Disco (Lucky Date Remix). Be sure to check that one out as well.

Calvin Harris – Feel So Close (Dillon Francis Remix)

Dillon Francis gives us an edgy remix to what was one of the biggest songs of the summer. The track encompasses everything that I loved about Calvin Harris’s original mix from the catchy vocals to happy synths.  The remix starts out in a similar fashion and sounds as if it’s going to be a mellow, feel-good track; but at 1:25 the track kicks into high gear with a choppy build that leads us right into a filthy drop at 1:43.  This song would make a great addition to any set because it is so musically diverse. Enjoy

Sander Van Doorn & Sidney Sampson – Rolling The Dice (Original Mix)

“Rolling The Dice” is another song off Sander Van Doorn’s new album, “Eleve11.” This time he teams up with dirty dutch legend Sidney Sampson and vocalist Nadia Ali. The song definitely sounds more like something Sander would produce with progressive builds rather than Sidney’s notorious hard hitting drops. It’s a mellow, well-produced track that I think you will all enjoy.
